Heyu Likes and Gift Tags

Quick Answer

Heyu's Final Beta preference categories include white, black, desserts, bathtubs, and water features. Use those as categories to check on an item's details and Heyu's Starcove profile.

Heyu's Final Beta preference categories include white, black, desserts, bathtubs, and water features. Use those as categories to check on an item's details and Heyu's Starcove profile. They do not identify one specific required recipe or guarantee that every matching item is a Loved gift.

These preferences describe a Final Beta character showcase. The test ended on October 19, 2026; confirm the profile in the released build before spending a rare item.

Heyu's documented preference categories

Heyu holding a feather fan beside a crane-themed screen
Preference categoryWhat to inspect on a candidate gift
WhiteThe item's displayed color or preference tag.
BlackThe item's displayed color or preference tag.
DessertsThe dish category, rather than assuming every food qualifies.
BathtubsFurniture identified as a bathtub.
Water featuresThe item's actual furniture category or tags.

Bathtubs are supported by the beta preference list, rather than merely inferred from Heyu's hot-spring profession. His interests in incense, meditation, hot water, and an early bedtime remain character details; they are not additional confirmed gift categories.

The category list does not distinguish exact Loved and Liked ranks for each individual item. It also does not provide a complete dislike list. Check the response for the item you are offering rather than assigning a fixed Bond value from its appearance.

Check Starcove and direct requests

After your first meeting, Heyu's Starcove entry provides the character's preference overview. Read the Loves, Likes, and Dislikes fields available there, then compare them with your item's details.

Conversations can supply a more specific lead. A Neighbor may mention an object seen at Glenn's Goods that they want. In the documented beta gifting system, delivering that requested shop item could award 4 Bond points. An exact request is more actionable than choosing a thematically similar item.

A practical gift check is:

  1. Open Heyu's profile and verify that it is the correct character.
  2. Compare the candidate with his displayed preference fields and the five beta categories above.
  3. Prioritize an explicit item request when one is active.
  4. Offer the gift and check the actual response before choosing the next day's item.

Gift responses and the daily opportunity

The normal beta system allowed one gift per Neighbor per server-reset day. Its typical responses were:

Gift responseTypical Bond outcome
Loved2–4 points.
Liked1–2 points.
Neutral1 point.
DislikedRefused; no Bond decrease, and another gift could be offered.
Explicitly requested Glenn's Goods item4 points.

These are the general beta response ranges, not a claim that a particular white item always grants four points. A refused gift was not a permanent loss of the day's opportunity in that system.

Chatting was another small daily source of Bond: typically only the first conversation per server-reset day awarded 1–2 points. Further conversations could still reveal preferences or requests, even when they did not award additional daily chat points.

Heyu's gift milestones are separate rewards

Heyu's Journey also tracked the number of gifts given. Its documented gift nodes were A Token of Care at 2 gifts for 100 Dough, A Lovely Touch at 20 gifts for 150 Dough, and Made for You at 50 gifts for 200 Dough.

Those are cumulative Journey milestones. They are not the Bond value of each gift and should not be substituted into the Loved or Liked response table.

Recognize Heyu and keep other profile fields separate

Heyu is the crane-like hot-spring innkeeper with a feather fan and a medium character model. His Final Beta encounter area was Season of Snowfall – Hexia Zone H84.

His structured Final Beta profile lists Mining Enthusiast, Woodcutting Enthusiast, and Harvest Expert, with no Bond talent listed. Those are travel specialties, not gift preferences. Use the preference categories and the current gift response for gifting decisions.
